ROBA®-Co-Pro, small torque limiting clutch for great constructions
The new ROBA®-Co-Pro is a compact, performance optimised torque limiting clutch, which matches the concept of modern, energy-efficient machines and systems perfectly. Its performance density (Nm/cm3) is up to 6 times higher than on other load-holding torque limiting clutches.
The new ROBA®-Co-Pro’s compact construction offers advantages seen from various viewpoints. Dependent on the design, it saves up to 65 % in material in comparison to normal, load-holding friction clutches. Due to the high performance density, the ROBA®-Co-Pro has minimum installation space requirements and up to 80 % less mass moment of inertia. These are ideal prerequisites for compact, cost-effective machine constructions. Performance-optimised machine elements need less acceleration energy. The drive capacity can be reduced. Smaller capacities mean smaller drives, which also consume less electricity for higher energy efficiency.
ROBA®-Co-Pro torque limiting clutches ensure that malfunctions, overloads and collisions do not result in expensive repair work and production downtimes. They are permanently functional due to a highly robust drive element bearing and high-strength friction linings, which can be replaced fast and easily when worn.
Apart from this, the new ROBA®-Co-Pro torque limiting clutches are maintenance-free. They are currently being offered in three sizes, with nominal torques from 50 to 1600 Nm.
